- Progress on the Lock Screen: sends, share sheet sends, imports and Automatic Backup show live progress on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
- Notifications: "Transfer finished" and "Transfer failed, tap to retry" when SMBDrop is in the background. They are made on your iPhone, with no push server. You can turn them off in Settings.
- Sends keep going in the background: on iOS 26 a send carries on after you leave the app, with iOS's own progress, and on older iOS it picks up again next time you open the app. Items you share from other apps are saved straight away, and SMBDrop sends them when you tap its reminder or open the app.
- A better transfer card: progress for each file, time left, a clear finish summary, and a compact progress bar when space is tight.
- Bigger screens and landscape: the photo grid, lists and transfer card now fit wide and foldable screens, and the app works in landscape on iPhone.
- New icons: dark and tinted app icons to match your Home Screen.
- Anonymous usage analytics: SMBDrop now sends anonymous usage counts so the developer can see which features are used and where transfers go wrong. Nothing is linked to you, and no file names, server details or passwords are ever included. You can turn it off in Settings › Share Anonymous Usage Data. The privacy policy has the full details.

- Automatic Backup: new photos and videos go to a chosen share when you open the app, and overnight while charging when iOS allows it.
- Select All in the photo picker.
- Date folders: file new photos into YYYY/MM folders on each share.
- Album folders: photos from an album go into a folder with the album's name.
- Review Uploaded Photos: after a send, choose which originals to delete from Photos. Nothing is picked for you.
- Files already on the share are skipped, and the summary shows how many.
- Clearer error messages when a send fails after sign-in.
- The screen stays on while a send runs.
- Sending from the share sheet now hands the items over to the app.
- Fixed the selection circle on some photo thumbnails.

- Send photos and videos from your library in original quality, including both halves of a Live Photo, with albums, multi-select and drag to select a range.
- Send any file through Apple's Files picker, or from other apps through the share sheet.
- A durable transfer queue that survives interruptions, with retry for failed items.
- Import files from your shares onto your iPhone, checked and never overwriting an existing file.
- Find Shares lists the real share names on your server, and Test Connection checks everything before you save.
- Custom ports, and passwords stored only in your iPhone's Keychain.
- First-run setup and an in-app Request a Feature form.
